Jack gives us an update on his hair loss situation. We also talk about the phantom California vlog which was introduced weeks ago but somehow still has yet to be released… Sike! You can now watch it here!
Jack brings in the issue of tall people – specifically people who are between 5’11” and 6’5″ – and how they need to use their height more appropriately. Jack brutally attacks Gavin for being so nonchalant about his 6″1 frame. Jack claims that Gavin’s height should be enough to propel him into being either a NBA player, professional singer, or model. Meanwhile, Gavin gives a passionate speech as he talks about making life decisions. There are going to be a lot of people telling you how to live your life; but at the end of the day, you’re the one who should decide how to live life.
Afterwards, the Love Guru lets us in on one of his secret tips in his latest article about meeting hot girls through their average (looking) friends.

Best careers for tall people (as read on the show)
“You want to talk BASKETBALL with me??” – Gavin.
Jack tries to attack my reputation as a tall person by claiming I don’t post-up while playing basketball. I want to clarify that I in fact DO post up while playing ball.
At the same time, the pace of modern basketball emphasizes speed, quickness, and three-point shooting. This is true especially in pick-up basketball where teams are not set in advance. Playing post requires a lot of coordination when compared to playing isolation or shooting threes.
In addition, the simple fact that I am playing basketball is already an example of me “taking advantage of my height.” This is true regardless of if I am under the basket or behind the three-point line. The primary advantage of being tall is that you can shoot over your defenders. Tall people shooting threes are still more advantageous than shorter people shooting threes (assuming both players are equally skilled shooters), because the taller shooter should have an easier time shooting over their defender – in theory. This is true regardless of where the player is shooting the ball from.
the NBA’s influence on today’s game:
Because the NBA is the best basketball league on the planet, viewers often try to mimic or replicate how the NBA game is played. The modern NBA game has seen the rise of the stretch big – a big man who can shoot the three point shot. Having a big man who can shoot the three is an asset because teams can space out the floor and attack more quickly. The phenomenon of the big-man shooting threes arises because of its increased popularity in the NBA game.
The modern NBA is also more favourable towards guards and quick players. Newly implemented (well, somewhat new) hand-check rules allow for guards to drive to the basket more easily, allowing for a faster-pace of gameplay. Small-ball and quick baskets will always be more entertaining to watch than slow set-plays for the big man down low. The NBA will always want to promote the most exciting game possible, to gain more viewership. As a result, kids on the playground would rather emulate Steph Curry shooting half-court threes instead of Tim Duncan shooting a hook shot.
